All you have to do is delete the destination partition, in this example, “os.” You will now see Unallocated space and your other partition on Disk 0 and the other on Disk 1.Ĭlick on the Unallocated space and just select the Next button. Let’s say you want to install Windows 7 as a single OS while retaining both the “storage” and “data” partitions. A partition label is persistent and a reliable method of identifying partitions and drives. NOTE: It is always, at least this is what I practice, a good idea to label your drives so that moving drive letters and such don’t cause any confusion. The second drive is set as a dedicated data drive. I have two hard drives one has two partitions with one being the target of the Windows 7 installation, the other is a storage partition. I made a small scenario based on what you described.
